Yeah epics needs to get back up there. It's been like a month since CoCL came out. Shouldn't they have recorded at least 14 more 7 inches.

The first time I heard Year of The Pig was right after my first time seeing them live. I was still carrying some of "post-show high" that was probably prolonged by the nasty blow to the head I received during Generations. To say the least, I was astonished, and when the track finally ended I realized I had come my pants.

best fucking show ever. Damian picked me up and swung me at people, that guy is really strong. Probably some of the better human beings that i've ever encountered. Father Damian's stories are quite entertaining. I don't think i've ever laughed so hard in one night, favorite band.

to be fair, pitchfork gave Hidden World a really positive review, so its probably more to do with the readers than them

Polyvinyl should pick up haymaker :P.. but seriously I don't care that they have found a wider audience. Just brace for people making ignorant assumptions about all hardcore punk, because they'll obviously hold fucked up at a much higher standard.

If pitchfork slated this album u would cry, they praised it u cry. I discoverd them a couple months ago, still new to them but I don't always get why people feel offended when bands get exposure.

"the only band with a chance of saving hardcore " oh god, It begins. *plugging my ears, singing along to police* At least chemistry of common life is a great album.

I like the new LP but I think Hidden World was to Fucked Up what Double Nickels was to the Minutemen. Their magnum opus but also a turning point into what people would label more 'commercial' stuff. But hopefully, like Minutemen, they'll still kick arse.

Hidden World >>>>> Chemistry of Common Life. However, COCL is a great fucking album in its own right.

""plus some apearences by former Death From Above member and vivian girls... did you really think they weren't going to get huge?"" lol, by that logic they should have been famous two years ago, when Final Fantasy appeared on their last full length... or last year when Jenifer Castle made an appearance on Year of The Pig. It's not like these guys are coming out of left field...

'saving' hardcore? lulz. i wouldn't be worried so much about the post-pitchfork listeners as i would the post-MTV-set-in-a-washroom crowd. but if anyone here is actually snobby enough to care about who's listening and why-- maybe you guys should change the ID3 tags on your songs to something else in order to 'reclaim' the 'purity' of fucked up.
